When I open the browser console window and click on an image in the gallery, it display several file not found errors and the files it is looking for are the retina versions, See this screen shot, https://screencast.com/t/wVuWrSzPQiS.

The popup is looking for https://www.luxremodels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/[email protected] instead of https://www.luxremodels.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/luxremodels0-10-1.jpeg and it does not find it.

Make sure that the Retina Images Enabled option is also unchecked in MaxGalleria Settings, Image Tiles tab.

Yeah, I saw your screens but if that was the case then it wouldn’t display properly on a desktop would it? You can see that this is unchecked and has always been unchecked.

I also went through and deactivated all of our plugins except MG…..same issue.

To quote from the options page, “Enabling Retina Images requires two images both with the same path, a normal resolution image and a high-resolution image with a file name ending with ‘@2x’. Example: image.jpg & [email protected].”

Maybe the browser and site caches needs to be cleared so the page with the retina option turned off can load.

If it was the retina display issue, how could it be on for 2 galleries and off for 3 when that feature is a global one… (unless it’s not?)

Thank you so much for working through this with me. Kudos! One last question though. If we wanted to display the retina images, do we have to manually set each URL for the second image or how does it work? How does it recognize the second image file?

I see the Lightbox working on those galleries.

For displaying retina images you will need to upload a retina version for each image to the same folder as the original image and each retina image needs to end with @2x like so, [email protected]’.
