    Hi there

I have Foobox installed with Foobox and am using the latest version of Divi. Clicking on an image no longer opens Foobox – it links through to the full size image in the same tab. I have read through the posts about caching and defer etc so tried switching off all my plugins but that didn’t fix the problem. Can you help?

    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi

I checked your page and could not see the FooBox script being included in the page. I also see you are using a plugin to combine all your scripts. What plugin is that?

That’s strange, the plugin is definitely installed and the foogallery is set to open Foobox. I can see in the page source that the link targets say “Foobox” but not sure why the Foobox script is not being included in the page. I saw there is a setting in divi to combine js and css so have turned that off now, and I have also turned off all my plugins apart from fonts and a pdf embedder.

Is there anything else I can try?

    Thanks

Can you check the FooBox settings to make sure you are not excluding it from all pages by default?

    Sure, where is that setting?

under FooBox settings -> Advanced tab, there is a setting calles “Exclude FooBox Assets”. Make sure that is not checked.

    OK great that worked, thanks!

Going through to reactivate my plugins, Foobox seems to be incompatible with W3 total cache. Do you know if there is a setting within that that specifically causes an issue?

    Same problem here!

Foobox working only on Fireox and IE. Google Chrome shows that error about referrer policy.

I’m working back through older support requests and found this hadn’t been fully answered.

We do our best to make FooBox compatible with caching plugins however some caching plugin settings can be too aggressive with regard to JS minimisation and execution causing FooBox execution to break. For example, if a caching plugin defers FooBox JS execution until the page is fully loaded it can cause FooBox code not to be executed in the middle of the page where images need to be displayed. Deferring critical code until the page is fully loaded means FooBox is no longer able to work.

The key with caching plugins is to test javascript and css minification and execution options until you find settings that allow FooBox to work as intended. Some caching plugins allow these settings to be set on individual pages which will allow you to have full caching on non-FooBox pages and lesser caching options on FooBox pages that will allowing it to work.

Please feel free to open up a new support request if there’s anything else we can help with.
