I’m not sure if this is a glitch or what… but if an affiliate signs up, then you delete them in the admin panel…if they sign up again using the same email adress, it sends them an email telling them to log in with their existing login credentials instead of sending them new login credentials.

It’s like it’s storing their user email somewhere in the database, even if you deleted them as a user.

I even logged into the phpmyadmin to see if it was keeping the user stored in the database, but it’s not.

I’m out of emails to test, because like I said, even if I delete myself as a user and register again, there’s no way to get new login credentials.

Hi, just to verify this with you. When you say you delete an affiliate, are you deleting them within the Affiliate plugin and also from WP Users? Or only from Affiliate plugin?

    Kind regards

Hi. Only from the plugin. It’s not creating a WordPress User when I register. I just tried it again. I created a new affiliate using an email address/user I had already deleted and got the following email after I approved the user.

New affiliate registration for COMPANY NAME: has been approved!
Log into the site with your existing account and get started.

I then went to verify that there was no WordPress user created with that email and there isn’t. The user is only created in the Affiliate plugin.

Hi, do you have the following feature Automatically approve a new affiliate enabled under Settings -> General tab? If you do, can you disable this, then try again?

Let me know how you go.

    Regards

Yes, I already disabled it. The last several attempts I have been manually approving.

Hi, are you sure there is no other plugin that holds any data regarding users in your site? Please read the following documentation. This is how our plugin works when a new affiliate registers or you manually add one.

Let me know if this helps you in any way.

    Kind regards

I believe I found the problem. Even if you delete the user from the plugin and delete the user from WP users, it still stores the user in the WP users database, so you have to delete them from there. I tried that and registered again and it sent the login credentials as if it was a first-time register.

Hi, that is very strange because in all my tests I never ran into an issue like this. Can you confirm that there is no plugin in your site that backups your WP users details? I am curious to know.

    Kind regards

@edit7279, If you delete the user from the plugin, it should also delete it from WP users.
