Event Manager Google Plugin Maps unavailable

I have been using Events Manager for many years, love it by the way. Google maps stopped working when Google changed the rules. I followed the instructions, got an API key, and activated the APIs needed at the Google Maps Platform site. I loaded the API to Events manager, google maps module.

-For locations that previously had maps, the maps work now. No problem.
-For any new location that I try to add, the location cannot be found, no map available. As instructed, I go to google maps, plug in the address, and the location is found without problem. I tried several locations including my home and any new location cannot be found while entering the address in the “Locations” entry. And the map doesn’t show up on the even page.

So, the API got maps for existing locations working again, but new locations can’t be found. I toggled many settings, activated and deactivated the maps module.
