Slider disappearing after plugin install

  • Hi there, I have been trying to increase the speed of my website..

    I installed the WP Fastest and Autoptimize plugins. In retrospect I don’t think it is necessary to have both..

    However they have had a detrimental affect on my home page.

    The slider now drops away after a few seconds and a large white space appears..

    I deactivated both plugins but it is still doing it.

    If someone can help me out that would be great!

    I checked your site and did not find a slider. Have you disabled it?

    I have actually disabled the slider now, as the website seems to run faster without it.

    Do you have any other suggestions for increasing the speed?

    I have certain plugins running including: Autoptimize, WP Fastest Cache, and Smush..

    @tomtjc: Using compressed images can be factor that helps in increasing load time of your site. Maybe this article will be useful you.
