    Hi there, I just installed the Smush plugin.

    I am a local business and so wasn’t sure whether to request it to delete my image meta data?

    I had read that was good for local SEO…

  • Hi @tomtjc,

    This is up to you. Removing EXIF data is believed to have a negative impact on SEO for images. The data is relatively small in size, so if you’re not worried about a few extra warnings on Google PageSpeed – leave it in. It won’t make any visible performance difference.
