Splitting up sidebars

I’ve searched the forum, but can’t find a solution that works for my problem. I’ve installed a theme with two sidebars (both on the right side), and I’ve attempted to move one to the left side. I figured it would be very straight forward, as I’ve done that sort of thing many times before, but never with php. Well, for some reason, no matter what I do, I can’t see to separate the two side bars. Either both go on the right side or both go on the left side.

I’ve even stuck each column in their own division and tried to order it that way, but it doesn’t work.
