  • Hi @eldooderino,

First, make sure the “Product Search” option (in the “Basic” area of the “Options” tab) isn’t set to “Name, Description and Custom Fields”. The custom fields part adds a lot of queries, which has the potential to slow it down. Try any of the other options.

Also, try removing two of the three layouts. For example: [product-catalogue id=”X” excluded_layouts=”Detail,List” starting_layout=”Thumbnail”]. This will cut the amount of queries by two-thirds.

You can also try enabling “Thumbnail Support” (in the “Basic” area of the “Options” tab).

You can also try setting a lower number of “Products per Page” (in the “Premium” area of the “Options” tab).

There is also the possibility that your server doesn’t process the database queries quickly, which wouldn’t help with the catalogue performance.

Hi Guys, i have been facing the same problems, all tough changing the search parameters helped quite a bit i can’t seem to get the layout change to be happening. My understanding of coding is non existent so i’m a bit lost, Where does one place the [product-catalogue id=”X” excluded_layouts=”Detail,List” starting_layout=”Thumbnail”] code?

Hope to hear from you, Great plug-in btw!

    Hi Marnix,

you ve added the Shortcode [product-catalogue id=’3′] in your WordPress Catalog Page. To disable the two Layouts you have to add this Shortcode instead…
    [product-catalogue id=’3′ excluded_layouts=’Detail,List’ starting_layout=’Thumbnail’]

    Hi,
to disable the two Layouts doesn`t increase the speed.
When you click on “Bodenfliesen” here:
    https://solutions.t-trading.de/index.php/fliesenwelten/ you can check it.
In Firefox the Page always loads slow. In Chrome it is better “sometimes”. With my iphone everything works fine.
I dont know what i can do more ??

I`ve created Thumbnails with the “Regenerate Thumbnails”-Plugin and activated the “use Thumbnails” funktion in UPC. The Product Page is loading very fast now!!!

Now there is the following problem:
When i want to filter the Products by using the Categorys in the Sidebar, it takes very long… When i choose a Category in the Sidebar, the “Updating Results” takes about 17 sek.

If it’s working fine, somehow, on your iPhone, I’d say it definitely sounds like some kind of conflict with a caching plugin or some other kind of caching that you have going on, on your site. And it sounds like maybe the iPhone is just not making use of that cache and, so, is loading properly.

I would definitely deactivate that new caching that you installed. We tested your site again and sometimes we have to clear our browser cache just to see your products. So something’s messed up with that caching.

If you’d like, you can send us, by email, an export of all your products, so we can just double check through them to make sure there’s nothing in there causing a conflict.

    Hello,

I’m also having a lot of trouble with loading times. If I don’t customize the shortcode at all then the startup loadout loads just fine but if I change my starting layout or hide a layout version the starting layout doesn’t show up or if I try to filter results using the sidebar categories section the screen perpetually says “updating results”.
https://www.queencityrestaurantsupply.com/qcrsnew/products is the site page with the plugin.

    Hi Etoile Team…
i tried to export my products. Something is loading endless, but nothing exports.
We are using the Avada WP Theme. Are there any known Problems with this Theme??

    Hi @eldooderino ,

If you disable all other plugins (except for Product Catalog) and then try to export again, does the same issue occur?

    Got it!!!!
I deleted the Ultimate Product Catalog Plugin and all Database entrys.
After that i installed wp-swipe and wp-optimize and cleaned the Database.
Then i installed the plugin again and created all Categorys etc again.
Now it works!!! That was a hard ride ??
