Contact Form Not Sending Email

In an effort to combat spam, I recently switched from Contact Form 7 to WP Forms. While I never had issues receiving email through Contact Form 7, my contact form entries are not being sent to the admin email on WP Forms.

I have additional websites on different hosts and have never before had this issue with WP Forms, hence I’m hesitant to dive into adding an SMTP plugin.

1) Would updating my server’s PHP version solve this issue? After the latest WP update, my dashboard is notifying me that a PHP Update is required for this site. Would this solve the problem?

2) Should I look into adding an SMTP plugin?

My other idea is to return to Contact Form 7 and add additional spam blockers like Honeypot – but, for ease of use, I would prefer to stick with WP Forms.
