I’m using this plugin because a client already had it installed on her website, but I’m not impressed with it at all. The social icons are not showing up at all and the Pinterest description I’ve specified isn’t showing up on dozens of different posts. I will go in, add an image, add in the description exactly the way I wanted. It will only show up with the name of the site and the name of the post. WHY??? Oddly, sometimes my description will show up on a completely different image that isn’t the one I have set up for Pinterest .

I should probably clarify that I finally added the Social Pug plugin just so I could get my client’s images posted to Pinterest. So the icons that ARE showing up are from Social Pug, not from this plugin.

    Thank you for reaching out!

Let’s take the first issue – icons not showing at all

What placement option did you select under question number 3 in the plugin’s settings?

Could you please clear cache? By that, I mean…

    · The browser cache, see https://www.solutionbay.com/solutions/dont-know-how-to-clear-the-cache-1

    · Please also check if you have a cache plugin installed. If so, please disable it temporarily, and check if it’s ok now

OK, we are making progress, but this plugin is crazy-making. I’ve been messing with it for the last hour and it still won’t work properly. There is no caching plugin and I did clear the cache. There were some issues with the display settings, so I was able to get the icons to show up at last.

I finally realized that my client has the premium version – the different name was confusing. I got the icons to display, but it is showing ones I did NOT selected and I can’t make them GO AWAY. I did NOT select Reddit or Linked In and there is another one that is showing up I didn’t select. It’s a share button that has a list of the platforms. And the Pinterest icon is not aligning properly, which looks very odd. The whole thing just looks amateur.

The Pinterest description is still not showing up properly. It is only pulling up the rich pin text and not the proper description that I can see shown in the post. I added the pin it button to the image and I did manage to get the proper description to show up just one time, but then it was showing an incorrect image as the pin image. This is just annoying!

Ok if it’s for the premium plugin, please raise a ticket at the top of the plugin’s page. The premium plugin isn’t supported in these forums. You can just send us a link to this thread, then we know what it’s about. Thank you!

How do I unsubscribe to these threads? I clicked something so I’d be notified of your response, but now it seems like I am getting ALL replies to ALL threads coming to my inbox. Help me shut this off please.

That’s unusual. You should only get updates from this thread. Please open a new one with this as title of it, so that we can look at it separately.

I think I fixed it. I found an unsubscribe button. Let me see if I get any more messages.
