How to remove/hide Landing Page Column

  • I updated the template settings for the landing page without success. The column still appears. My column is quite busy and would like to cleanup the landing page by removing the column on this page. Suggestions?

    Hello. I meant the main sidebar. I would like to have this hidden on the landing page but when selecting the appropriate page template this isn’t changing anything. Suggestion?
