Composite Products Plugin: Variable Products can’t be activated on Mobile Device

Hello,
we’re using the Composite Products Plugin for our bike builders. Lately we had the issue that people can’t go further than the Frame (2nd component) on mobil devices (smaller then 768px).
When the variation (size and color) are selected the plugin does not realize that a valid selection has been done and the next component stays greyed out.
When I make the Frame optional, so when you have to select if you want a frame or not and when you then go through the variations, then it works out fine.
Somehow the plugin can’t activate the next component if the variable product is already selected. Any ideas how to work around it or what to do?
