Frustrating “invisible” text

  • Hi – I have posted a new article but the text is “invisible” in the admin section unless I hover my mouse over it. This makes it very difficult to edit it. The word count shows zero even though my article has been uploaded in full.

    However, I can view my article correctly at my url.

    Can anyone please put me out of my misery? ?? Thanks, Mark

  • Have you tried:

    – disabling Google Gears if you have that running/installed.

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems.

    – renaming the plugins folder via FTP

    I had this exact problem and was able to fix it by following the directions at the link that esmi lists in the previous post.

    Specifically – it was fixed by doing the automatic re-install found on the dashboard at:
    Tools->Upgrade->Re-install automatically
