    Hi,
I want to exclude the sidebar and one of plugins, jetpack from the cache function of LS.
Googling and looking this forum, I couldn’t find the answer.
I’d appreciate it how I can exclude form the cache.

    Thank you,

    Hi,

Please provide more detail about “how sidebar is made” ? like it’s a part of page/post or something ?

    Hi qtwrk,

    Thank you for your reply.
The sider is just a sider.php and a part of page/post and others.
If you know how to exclude the sidebar and jetpack plugin, I’d appreciate it.

I’m wondering, what is your reason for this? Jetpack is presumably on every page of your site. Excluding it entirely means that no page on your site is going to be cached. Some with the sidebar.

If you can explain why you want to exclude these things, we may have a better solution to suggest.

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your reply.
LS caches the date. That is sinmply reason.
If we use the milestone on the sidebar, LS caches the date of the jetpack.
The milesone function comes from the jetpack.
How can we escape from it?

    Hi,
    Thank you for your reply.
I read ESI Blocks shortcode, but I don’t know where to and what shortcode to insert.
I don’t have a shortcode for the milestone like the mycalendar on the wiki.

    Thank you,

    Probably, I understand it.
    1. Turn on ESI on the LS setting
    2. Appearance > Widgets menu
    3. Turn on ESI effective
    4. TTL: 0

    Is this correct??

Yes. If the date is in a widget, then you can turn on ESI in that widget, and set it to be uncached (TTL=0).

Just a warning, though: if you have any uncached content on your page, it’s going to slow it down. It would be better if you could cache that ESI content for at least a little while. Maybe an hour (TTL=3600) or even ten minutes (TTL=600).

    Hi Lisa,

    Thank you for your input.
I’ll chnage the TTL according to your suggestion!
