    Hi,

    I have following questions:

    1) Can you please guide that how auto indexing works. Like I have run the indexer one time. After that I have added two new pages and publish them. And these pages are appear in search results. Similarly if I make those published pages ‘Draft’ then these are not seen in search results. So how this automatic indexing works

    2) Secondly, I want that when i change the page status from ‘Published’ to ‘Draft’ then that page should be removed from google indexing. How to achieve this?

    Thanks

Indexing is fully automatic and happens whenever a post is saved – as long as the post type is included in the Relevanssi index. If I understood your question correctly, the indexing is working as it should: when a post is published, it appears in the search results, and when it’s made a draft, it is removed. That’s how it should work.

As for Google index, Google will unindex removed posts eventually, but it can take a long time. Best way to deal with that is to have a XML sitemap and inform Google about it in Google Webmaster Tools. It’s still a slow process.

Thanks for the reply. Actually I just want to enhance my technical knowledge that how newly published pages will appear automatically in search results without running the indexer.

Regarding Google Live indexing Yoast SEO plugin will add this feature in their upcoming update in the end of march.

Do you still have questions about Relevanssi? I’m happy to answer, but I don’t know what you want to know.
