I was encountering this error a lot when I first started using Gutenberg but had recently not encountered it and thought it was fixed but now as I try to convert this classic mode to Gutenberg blocks, I’m encountering “This block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed” all over the post. No matter where I create a block, as soon as there is a paragraph block it becomes unusable. Any guidance in this matter will be appreciated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I did encounter something similar after a switched into HTML edit mode to change a link. The HTML was fine (I didn’t change the tags, only the html address and the display text), but after that I was unable to create any more blocks. The only solution I found was to delete the block containing the edited link, and re-enter, taking care to get the link and display text correct.

@steved430 yes it seems to be an error that only crops up when there is a combination of classic and gutenberg blocks or when there are blocks that have been converted from Classic. I might have to copy the content to a separate file and then delete the page and start creating blocks anew.
