    Hi,
as you know, the standrad-theme “Mesmerize” comes with a heading, a subheading and a button (it says “read more” or something) in the upper part (under the navigation).
I don’t need that button. Unfortunately the customizer only lets me edit the button-text, but it doesn’t give me the opportunity of deleting it.
In the main part of the site it’s possible to delete any item with the “rubbish bin”-sign, but this option doesn’t appear in the header.
Do you know how to solve this problem? Am I only blind? I hope so.
    Thank you very much.
    Sophie

Under Appearance->Customize->Hero->Front Page Hero there should be a Show Buttons checkbox near the bottom list of options, does unchecking this hide it for you?

@jarretc Thank you very much for the answer. I was so used to the CMS “Joomla!” thant I kind of lost my “focus” with wordpress. It worked out and luckily it seems that I really was only blind. Thank you so much!
