Widget to Display Products no longer allows “by Category”

I’ve been creating pages and blog posts with the woocommerce Products widget. I have often used this widget to show products by category in a post or page. The ones I have done previously still show up correctly.

However, suddenly the query option for “by category” is missing in the widget edit screen. Has anyone else lost this capability in the last few days?
