    Morning! Not sure if this is in the right place but I’m new here.

    I need to get this sorted as its annoying me now and looks really unprofessional.

    My website has been live for some time now, but when I share it with others, some social media platforms create a small picture under the link. This used to show as a PC I made and looked really good by just , but now its showing a blank user profile as you can see from the link I provided.

  • Hello James,

    Don’t worry, it is because if the All in one SEO Pack you are using.

    It is adding the meta tags and it seems you have default image set and that is the reason you get that image on Facebook.

    Check this by viewing you page source.

    <meta property=”og:url” content=”https://www.wecaneven.com/&#8221; />
    <meta property=”og:image” content=”https://www.wecaneven.com/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/images/default-user-image.png&#8221; />
    <meta property=”og:site_name” content=”We Can Even” />
    <meta property=”og:description” content=”Specialists in Technology” />

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Kartik

    Good Afternoon,

    Thank you for your reply. Ive got half way there, ive set featured images for other pages which work fine all except the front page which is still showing the profile image. Ive since disabled All in one SEO pack but i dont know if theres another way to change that image.

    @jbarnes86 you don’t have to deactivate All in One SEO Pack; you need to set the Open Graph image to the image you’d like to have displayed by social media sites. This is a feature of the plugin. I suggest that you read our Beginners Guide on Social Meta – https://semperplugins.com/documentation/beginners-guide-to-social-meta/

    Hi, ive tried all sorts to rectify this issue.

    I have cleared cache (numerous occasions)
    Set the correct image in the social meta part of the All in One SEO plugin
    Tried other plugins to force the correct image to show
    I also gone into the FTP for my site and removed the “default-user-image” and replaced it with my own .png i want to use.

    Im still stuck at a roadblock with this.

    Hello James,

    I can now see that you have updated the image and that should have solved the problem.

    As when I checked/tested by sharing it on FB it came up which one image of Open CPU with Dim Lights.

    Is that the image you set?

    Thanks.
