Okay, now I can view room list by creating a shortcode. However, facing a new problem that when I use the search button, a new page directed to the blog opens up instead of the expected query result.

    Hi,

If the system is unable to route the URLs to start the booking process, then it’s because the page or widget that you are using is not properly configured.
All booking forms should have an action attribute that points to a page where the plugin Vik Booking is rendered by WP through the use of a Shortcode.
If you are using the Widget “Search Form”, then you should make sure to have set the parameter “Page” to an actual page on your website where a Shortcode of Vik Booking is being used. This way you can control the URL of the landing page for the booking process.

We kindly invite you to open a Support Ticket from our dedicated website at https://vikwp.com/support/board. This way all our team members can assist you.

Thanks so much for the reply. Help will be appreciated regarding showing the contents like room list on the home page. Although shortcode is generated and pasted, not sure what I am missing. https://www.hsbwn.com/487-2/.

    Hi,

I see from your screen shot that you tried to use two Shortcodes of Vik Booking in the same page. This is not allowed, because the MVC (Model-View-Controller) framework of Vik Booking has got one unique buffer, which can render just one page per execution. This is a programming technique in PHP, which we have used to code the entire framework of Vik Booking.

You are supposed to use one Shortcode per page, which will generate a relation between the Shortcode ID in Vik Booking and the Post ID in WordPress. For the rest, you can use the Widgets, “Search Form” or others, to have a booking calendar/form on any other page of your website, like the home page.

You should take a look at the demo website of Vik Booking to see how we configured the widget in the home page, and the rest of the pages with the various Shortcodes of Vik Booking.

Also, as already discussed, we kindly invite you to use our website to seek for support. This way all our team members can assist you. Because you are looking for support, this isn’t the right place for us to provide help with specific situations.
The forum should help other users understand the functions of the plugin, but this topic just requires to properly configure the Shortcodes. Thanks for your understanding.

Thanks for the followup. Initially, intention is to go for the free plan under which it appears support is not provided through your support on the website.

That is not a problem for us. Even if you cannot access our Support Board, you can still use the contact forms to request for help if necessary. We would still have more members capable of providing assistance than what we have here on the forum.

@e4jvikwp Thanks for the great support but please lose the signature. That’s prohibited in these forums as it’s been horribly abused in the past by others.

    Thank you.

Yes, bad people ruin it for others. No, I’m not kidding. Please refrain from that.

@jdembowski sorry about that! We just thought it was a polite way to close the message. We will make sure it won’t happen again as we totally understand what a back-link here would do.
