Posting to Facebook?

  • Lately, my WordPress site has started posting to my Facebook feed. I thought this was very strange. Today, I deactivated Instagrate and then my wordpress site stopped posting to Facebook. All of my images that ever were posted by Instagrate also disappeared on my blog posts as well, and reactivating Instagrate didn’t resolve that so… I’m now missing images on about a hundred posts. Not fun.

    I reactivated Instagrate and BAM, a new post showed up on my Facebook feed immediately. So – what is going on between the Instagram API and the Facebook feed API? My instagram has access to post to my Facebook Feed, and now my Facebook feed has a post from Instagram directly, then Instagrate is pushing that post back from WordPress and onto my Facebook feed so I have a duplicate (although the duplicate just has a link back to the WordPress post and not the full image and text like Instagram creates). It’s… wacky. There are no settings in Instagrate to deactivate this.

    What is going on? How to deactivate Instagrate using the post to Facebook from instagram?!?

    Bump. How to deactivate this? When I post to Instagram, it starts snowball postings to my WordPress page, then to Facebook via WORDPRESS. I’d like that Facebook turned off. No, it’s not posting to Facebook from Instagram.
