In the meantime I was checking your addon’s files and found a hook called wcmp_afm_after_general_product_data what basically seems to be a good way to hook into the general tab.

@justyumyum, yes you can use this filter wcmp_afm_after_general_product_data to add extra fields.

Thanks. Now it turned out that I need to write my own routines for displaying, editing and saving/updating the meta boxes.

In a very first step I was trying to receive the specific product id of a product being edited. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get it working by using wc_get_product().

Could you please let me now how to request the id of a product currently edited (e.g. https://www.justyumyum.de/kitchen/dashboard/edit-product/3518/)?

@justyumyum using do_action( 'wcmp_process_product_object', $product, $_POST ) hook you can get current edited product as well as posted data.
