The dreaded Ubiquitous “HOME” tab on the theme – how do I get rid of it?

    It’s funny that so many themes put these “Home” tabs on them but do not include them in the pages section of the admin.

    Anyway, I have seen many of these posts but I am not comfortable enough with trying to edit without someone looking at the problem first.

    the site is https://csdglass.com. How can I get rid of the useless “Home” Tab/page.

    Second question…how do I modify the footer. There’s a bunch of links there to “Make Money Online” etc and I want to get rid of them. I don’t mind leaving the links, I just want it to say something else. I looked at the footer.php file and it appears encrypted or something I don’t understand.

  • Remove these spam links entirely and the encrypted code. Warning: Spam themes also like to hide junk in the functions.php and other places. In the future, I would recommend avoiding any theme with spam links.

    As for the home link, users can find these useful. I often click them myself.

    How do I remove the spam links? How do I find them and identify them and then safely remove them with out messing everything else up?

    Also I noticed that suddenly the Home Tab disappeared. Not sure why. I didn’t do anything to make it do that as far as I can tell.
