    Hi all, I am stuck and my head is spinning, I would really appreciate some help understanding how to create a product for some printing options.
    I am looking to setup a print store, I am currently starting with a simple product and variations. How do I make some options only appear when a certain previous choice has been selected?

    My options:
    Sides? > Single / Double
    Type? > Silk / gloss / Bond / Pulp / kraft
    Paper weight? > 130 / 170 / 200 / 250 / 300
    Quantity? > 1/ / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 10

    So when someone selects a pulp paper they will only get a size of 380mic or when they select kraft paper, the paper weight options will change to only available from that selection (195mic / 457mic)

    Another instance similar to this, will be if someone selects a triple layer paper. They will then get a choice of a middle colour, but the colour choice will only be relevant to this particular choice of paper.

    I have spent sometime looking into some product variations on google, but I cant
    find anything to help me with variations appearing depending on previous variation choices.

    This is, unfortunately, something that you cannot do with WooCommerce variations!

    I use this to do something similar:

    You can use conditional logic to show options based on previous choices.

    The only potential issue is that it doesn’t use the WooCommerce variation so, although you can alter pricing depending on choice you will not be able to do stock management.

    I’d like to echo what @seank123 has said – this can’t be done with variations. In addition to the plugin mentioned above, have a look at Composite Products – it offers a way to set up scenarios in the way you’re looking for.
