So I am trying to use {3} within the reply to field to allow the recipient of the email to just hit reply and it appears it has stopped working.

    Hi,

Please give us some more details, and we’ll do our best to assist you.

What exactly is not working, on which steps you have difficulties?

Please provide us with some more information and links if available and we’ll help you to move forward.

    Thank you!

    Have a nice day!

    Same problem here.
In submission email sent to administrator -> advanced, i set “{3}” so that when administrator hits “reply” in his client email, “to” field should be populated with user email, but this doesn’t work.

    Hi,

May we ask to provide a screenshot what you have described?

    Thank you in advance!

    Have a nice day!

Original header of recieved email (those 2 highlighted are the only “reply-to”s in message soource (and both have no values):

I’m having the same issue. I have set the reply-to field to ‘Email’ however, it’s my server that’s sending the form contents not the user so the reply-to field is set to the server’s email address. I’ve also tried setting it to {3} but it didn’t work either. I would like it to use the sender’s email address so when i click reply it will go directly to the user. Thanks.

    Hi,

We would like to inform you that inserting {3} within Advanced > Reply to section is not going to work. There is no such functionality to add placeholder here. First, please note that you should have an Email field in your form and in Email to Administrator > Advanced > Reply to section, you will see Email is added, so you can select either Email or Other. See the gif.

Please let me know if the information is helpful.

    Thank you!

    Have a nice day!

    Hi,

In addition above-written, please note that we will add this functionality in our future versions.

    Thank you!

    Have a nice day!

@kimabaghdasaryan thanks for your last reply, so just to be sure, above gif is about a beta/stage version, non the current released, right?
Do you know when this will be implemented for everyone?

I am not sure why you would get rid of the ability to set the reply-to to the email address filled in on the form. This feature was working in a previous version. Using this as the from email can cause a lot of issues in receiving systems and you should always use the websites domain name in the from email and then be able to customize the reply-to. Having emails from your website marked as SPAM is an issue especially when you are using separate email systems that do not look to the live SPF record to validate senders.

    Hi,

Please note that Email to Administrator > Advanced > Reply to section should have an option to add a placeholder, meanwhile in case of Email to User section, we will add the placeholder functionality in the future. But we noticed from your screenshot, that there is not a placeholder adding option in your Administrator > Advanced > Reply to section.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

We are sorry for the misunderstanding.

Please note that we have never had Placeholder for Reply to field.

And that’s because of the reason that in this case, users will be able to fill in non-email field and it will not cause additional problems.

Furthermore, if there is User Info > Email field in a form, this field appears below of Reply to after publishing the form.

Therefore, please aware to have User Info > Email type field.

If you have it, you can check via the Reply To checkbox for the Email field which you want. If you want to use Other, you should fill it via Email format, for example, [email protected].

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

    Have a nice day!

You guys actually did allow placeholders in the “Reply-To” in one of the previous versions. It was working so that when someone filled out the form we could use that email in the reply-to spot. So that if the email field in the form was ID 3 we could use {3} in the reply-to field to allow the person receiving the notification to hit reply and have it go to that person. Makes sense that this would be a good feature to add back into the system.

    Hi,

I can definitely see how the mentioned feature would be useful. As a company with a massive product roadmap, we have to pick new features based on the value they will add to the most users possible.

At the moment, we will not be able to make this one work.

    Thank you!
