Migrate from fourteen to nineteen

  • Hi, I would like to quit twenty fourteen theme so as to have a theme more responsive.
    But, there is a but; I chose twenty fourteen because it was intended to be a magazine theme, which is presently what I still need !
    Most of all, I would like to keep with a slider that makes it possible to navigate between featured post, which is not possible as far as I know with other themes.

    So what do you suggest ? What is the best thing to do ? Starting from nineteen and includes a slider, or start from fourteen and add responsive improvements ?
