    Greetings!

I tried updating using the automatic update and it went into maintenance mode and never came back. My provider said they don’t support it, so… I reloaded WordPress and have not made any changes. Keeping in mind, that the install is done automatically by a script they provide, there may be files they set up for use on install. It works fine after initial install.

I can push the new files up via FTP to the WordPress directory, but since I don’t know what files the script may have changed for the install, I don’t want to overwrite them.

Any ideas what I should copy up? Obviously, using FTP, I probably won’t be able to run the command to update after the file copy.

    Cofusing enough? :p

Hope this is enough info, and it makes sense.

    Thanks!

    Philster

  • just upload ALL the files except your custom themes and the wp-config.php

Ok, that’s what I was hoping. Was just hoping the script didn’t install WP files sepcifically for the host that would be changed if replaced.

Will give it a try. Worst that can happen is reinstalling from the script again.
