After upgrading to version 10 I get this message. I had to disable the plugin using cPanel to get site back up. This happened on two separate sites.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘&&’ (T_BOOLEAN_AND), expecting ‘)’ in /home/bigdavec/public_html/crypticcrosswords.net/wp-content/plugins/404page/inc/class-404page.php on line 446

The problem did not occur in all my tests. Sorry for that. Version 10.1 should fix the problem. Please update and let me know if it works for you.

Killed my site too. Could not even get in using site admin. Had to use Cpanel. Guess I have to turn off auto updates.

for me 10.1 happened earlier today….

10 and 10.1 both made my site inaccessible through iThemes Sync. Deactivating 404Page restored accessibility. No problem logging into the site directly.

I really apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately the problem did not occur neither during my own tests nor the tests conducted by two external persons.

I was not able to find an error in version 10.1 so far. Also a code check did not find any problems.

I have reopened the ticket and will continue research. Please post as many information as possible to help me to identify the problem.

After more testing and some help from the iThemes support team (great folks, btw), we were able to fix the plugin conflict with iThemes’ sync management platform. 10.1 is now up and running on our site.

@kkropp is there anything I can do to improve compatibility with iThemes Sync?
