E Mail set up.

  • I have put an e mail address into a post, eg, contact@mysite
    I assumed my readers could just click on the address and send me an e mail through outlook ect.
    But they cant.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Also if any one has a link to a lesson how to set up e mails to notify me when I have a comment ect, that would be great thanks.

  • To create an email link using the Visual tab, enter your email address then highlight it. Select the Insert/Edit link button as per normal link insertion but in the Link URL field, delete ‘http//:‘ and enter mailto:your_email_address. Ensure that the Target is not set and then select “Insert”.

    For those who are interested the final markup should look like:

    <a href="mailto:your_email_address">your_email_address</a>.

    To set up email notification every time a comment needs moderation, go to Admin/Settings/Discussion. Under “E-mail me whenever”, check “A comment is held for moderation” and then save your changes.
