No such file or directory found wp-config.php

    Being the most tech savvy person in the office I was tasked with getting rid of a virus on our website, the virus no longer appears to be there, however I also managed to get rid of some vital files. Are there any quick fixes that will result in me keeping my job?

    I lost the files through ignoring the wordfence warning if I was sure I wanted to delete all the possibly hacked files.

    This is an error that appears when you visit the site, I am currently using css to cover the error up, but would like a more permanent solution. Please help

    Download a fresh copy of WordPress from www.remarpro.com.

    Unzip locally.

    Upload *all files* and *directories* to your site via FTP. That should add any missing files.

    Apparently you didn’t get it all. There is no such file in WordPress as wp-includes/init.php and the wp-config-sample.php file that you start from is only 89 lines (not 93).

    I would suggest you compare the wp-config-sample.php with the wp-config.php and remove the extra.
