    Hi,

the plugin configuration reseted and actually can’t save options. Any change i want to apply, it says ‘options saved’ but when refresh the configuration has not changed.

Can’t tell if this happened since the last updated, as it used to work before but i have tried to roll back to 2.7.1 but still doesn’t work.

    Hi @jpmerchan,

Can you open the javascript console before saving the settings, and after that try to save the settings to see if any error message shows up?

Also if possible deactivate all plugins except WP Mobile Menu and try to save the settings so we can understand if it’s a plugin conflict or not.

Will close the topic for now.
Let me know if you need further help with this.

I had the same issue.. Any changes to the Mobile Menu settings would not save. For my case, narrowed it down to the database. In wp_options, after deleting “mobmenu options” here, the plugin was then able to save any new changes made. –to get here, had to rule everything else out (e.g. #1 reactivated, #2 delete/install, #3 delete all plugins, #4 add plugins one-by-one; check if mobile menu plugin saved or not after installing/activating each plugin, #5 reinstall theme, #6 test previous wordpress versions)

    @joevistatech Thanks for your input.
Still can’t understand the potential reason, maybe some lock at the database level.

Are you using the latest 2.7.3 version?
    Thanks

For me, it was a lock at the db level. Ruled out almost everything else, before finding this. MAMP helped with testing; in order to narrow down the issue. For a little background, this happened after I had moved the site and its database to another account (from “self-hosted” to HostGator).

I am using the latest 2.7.3 version. Like @jpmerchan above, I had upgraded recently to 2.7.3. But, I did not test anything right before the upgrade to see if it was already having the issue, nor did I test right after migrating. ˉ\_(ツ)_/ˉ

thanks for the additional info, It’s very difficult to replicate that.
I think it’s the 3 reported situations in more than 50k installs, I will keep an eye how that.

I agree! If it helps: the problem didn’t seem to side with other plugins conflicting. Doing a local test instance did show that an earlier version of WP (tried 4.7 and 4.9) fixed the ‘cannot save changes’ issue.
So it may have had to do with updating to the latest WP release –something didn’t align right. For the “live” site (where my original issue was), it was only after deleting the wp_options > “mobmenu” options in the db, did the Mobile Menu plugin keep track of saves.
I’ll keep you updated back here if this reoccurs –next time, checking functionality before updating WP or the plugin, which will hopefully give better insight

Thanks again for the additional feedback.

    @takanakui So, I said I’d update you..
I moved this project from a subdirectory within my /public_html (or /www) to the parent-level of the file structure. Basically, this was a website redesign project (we’ll name it “new”) held in example.com/new.
I moved the site files of example.com/new to example.com (the /public_html directory) –removing the original site files contained in /public_html.

I hope the above makes sense!

After this move, the mobile menu plugin had stopped saving changes I made within the plugin. As well, the mobile menu settings reverted to default (same thing happened before). Luckily, I knew what to do: delete mobmenu_options from wp_options in the database. The plugin was then able to save my changes.

I’m still novice at all of this, but my thought is that the mobile menu plugin loses its Update (PUT) ability/permissions to mobmenu_options. Furthermore, it reverts the mobmenu_options to default, if the permalink (or URL, etc) is changed.

    Hi @takanakui,
Unfortunately I have the same issue. After disabling the plugin in order to debug some other issues, I’ve enabled it again and everything was reverted to defaults.
I tried to change settings but nothing works, it seems like the plugin has no longer permissions to save changes in the database.
I’ve also tried to remove mobmenu_options from the database, as recommended by @joevistatech, to see if the plugin was able to save changes, but no luck. When I tap “Save Changes” or “Reset to defaults”, nothing is added or changed in the wp-options table of the database.
As @joevistatech said, I really think the issue started after updating to WordPress 5.0+. Everything worked well on 4.9.

    Hi @wabetainfo and @joevistatech

Can you guys try to go to the following URL but first replace it with your correct URL.

    https://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin/?page=freemius

After that hit the Delete Accounts, to see if the problem is caused by any of the paths that are stored.

Here is a screenshot with an example:

Hi @takanakui, thanks for your interest.
I followed what you asked us to try: After tapping “Delete All Accounts”, I tried to modify settings of mobile menu, but unfortunately there is still the same issue.
I’ve also tried to disactivate the plugin, tapping “Delete All Accounts”, enabling the plugin to see if it worked, but it didn’t help.

Need to ask something in private.

Can you send me an email to [support AT wpmobilemenu DOT com]

    Thanks
