• I have no idea why but everything works when I preview the website by opening it in a new tab from the WordPress view site options. Yet, as soon as I open the website in a new tab it is broken. None of the drop downs except products work. The car brands tab also shifts completely to the left and is open “shown” and alignment is wrong even tough the CSS and Java is correct in the edit pages HTML. I read up on the plugin Execphp where they said you should remove the & symbol, it does nothing. I have even tried copying the code from the Google inspector directly out of the script of the working preview. Could anyone assist please?

  • If it was me, I’d probably excise the ‘find your car’ code from the rest of what you have and then either add a sidebar and stuff that there as a widget or convert that to a drop-down menu item.

And the drop-down would be right cool.

BTW: I’m no designer but you have a lot of unused space on both sides of the content…

    Shame to waste all that.

I agree completely, I am in the process of the new website design both front and back end. I found the root of the problem. The whole site was built on a very outdated Plugin, called Option Tree. Problem is when I deactivate it the whole thing falls apart. So now I have to find a temporary replacement. Boy am I struggling. I just want a quick fix as I cant leave the website down while designing the new site.

    No, I wouldn’t leave the site down…

Maybe you’d like the Frontier theme to get to where you’re are pretty much at.

That, a few layout tweaks (I think there’s an option for two sidebars even), a slider, and some CSS changes would get you pretty close. I used that one for a couple sites… and I stink at web design.

Here’s a link to a pretty good slider article from WPMUDEV for some guidance https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/most-popular-free-wordpress-slider-plugins/

    Hope this helps.
