Facebook Keeps Disappearing

    I am trying to use the feed for my work’s website and hoping to upgrade to the paid-for version once I can get it to work reliably. However, at the moment I can’t.

    For a long time, despite following instructions to the letter, nothing appeared for Facebook, only Twitter. Then, for some unknown reason, the Facebook one started to work. After a while, it ceased working again. I spoke to my colleague whose Facebook account we are using (I’m not a Facebook user) and when we looked on the developer page for the app it stated that it had been disabled for security reasons, or that we had logged out.

    Then, using the same access code as I have all along……it worked again. And now, it doesn’t. It just seems to turn on and off with no real explanation.

    I have created a Facebook account purely for the purpose of this plugin and hopefully it will work. I like the plugin, but so long as it keeps going on and off, I can’t use it.

    Any ideas?

    Hi @chrisharkness,
    To generate access token correctly you have to be the admin of that page, try using the Button to generate access token if it’s not working you can use manual way but most important thing is to be an admin of that page otherwise if you generate the token and you are not admin of that page the token will be generated button after log out the token will not work from tgat account

    As I said, the instructions were followed to the letter – so the account being used was an admin of the page, otherwise the feed would have not functioned at all. It worked fine on several different computers, but then would disappear. I think it was a Facebook security issue of some kind. I set up a Facebook account just for doing this with and was added as a second admin of the page and it works, however on my colleague’s account with identical settings, it just kept logging him out of Facebook on all his devices and the website feed was going on and off as well. Very strange, but, solved. Thank you
