Fatal Error Can’t use function return value in write context

    A couple of weeks ago my client updated the plugin and it took her site down. So, I deactivated the plugin temporarily and the site came back up.

    So, I am trouble shooting the plugin to reactivate it. Unfortunately when I tried to activate it this is the error that came up:

    Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home4/carols/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tweet-old-post/includes/admin/class-rop-pointers.php on line 55

    Would like to know how to fix this.

    Running the latest WordPress version, latest version of your plugin, and hosted on Host Gator.
