User options missing and redirection issue

    Hello,

    Recently had to disable due to several issues I’m having.

    For one, it doesn’t seem like there is a way for users to edit their descriptions or cover photos. Is this supposed to be added manually, if so how do I do so?

    Additionally, when logged in, anywhere you go to on the website redirects to the user page, meaning it is impossible to look through any content while logged in.

    Please help.

    Hi @leonfletcher,

    What version of the Ultimate member you have installed on your site?
    It looks like a conflict with your theme or one of your plugins.
    You shouldn’t experience any issues with editing user descriptions or cover photos.
    Please clarify what error do you see when trying to edit these fields.
    Do a quick conflict test and see if it helps. Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.

    Check access settings of your user role because it looks like you’ve restricted the access to other pages. You can check access settings in Ultimate member -> Settings -> Access section.

    Thank you for the reply!

    I figured out what the issue is, turns out the majority of members on my site (including the test account I was using) had no defined role hence had no proper permissions as far as UM is regarded.

    Just switched everyone to subscriber and everything is working perfectly now ??
