I’m using Advanced Ads. The Ad Placement area makes space for the ad but no ad shows. I’ve got through all the troubleshooting steps but still no luck getting an ad to show.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi brcwpsite2004,

thanks for reaching out and going through our troubleshooting steps first.

On your homepage I see a dummy ad. This is defined by the ad type chosen and intended for testing only.

If you are irritated by that then please go to the ad’s edit page and change the ad type by opening the “ad type” section at the top of the page and choosing a different one.

If this is not your original problem and you are experiencing it with another placement then my first guess would be that the ad does not deliver any content. This is coming when using ad networks on new sites. I can say for sure when I see this on your site.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Thank you Thomas,

I replaced the dummy Ad with the code for the real ad from the 3rd party server. At this point, I placed the appropriate code from the 3rd party in the Ad Parameters section of Advanced Ads, I’ve implemented the ads.txt file and placed the appropriate tag in the header. Still it’s not rendering ads. Any ideas?

    Appreciate the feedback and support.

    Hi Brent,

    thanks for your feedback.

I can see the AdSense code. It is also contacting AdSense, which means that all is fine, technically. The issue is likely with your AdSense account.

Is this a new site for that AdSense account? Please make sure it is added to Account > Sites in AdSense.

Your ads.txt is also missing an entry from AdSense. Please see for the pattern.

After that, it might just be a matter of time for them to review your site.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

Thank you for all your feedback and support, it’s very much appreciated. I’m not sure I have an adsense account. Do I need an Adsense account if I’m using a different 3rd party ad provider (Media Strike)?

    Thanks,

    Brent

    Hi Brent,

you don’t need an AdSense account. When you are using another ad network then it is possible that they also have an AdSense connection and this is what I saw.

I can see a few ads appearing on your site, but not the AdSense ad in the sidebar which is an AdSense ad. So did you sign up for one?

They need time to review your site. Just make sure you have it added to your AdSense account.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Thomas
