• A very poor call was made by the developer in disabling XML-RPC by default on the last update (early January 2019).

It took me countless hours trying to figure out which plugin was the culprit. Many trouble tickets open with several plugins and providers… until I figured Speed Booster had it disabled.

This is a very poor call because:
    – XML-RPC is enabled by default on WordPress
    – once a source of vulnerabilities, XML-RPC is deemed as a safe service for many years in the community
    – it is widely used to connect WordPress domains to a variety services IN A SAFE MANNER
    – it provides NO SPEED BOOSTER disabling the service, so it feels like the developer wants to play OUTSIDE THE SCOPE of this plugin

Very annoyed, frustrated, and disappointed at the GENIUS who decided to:
    – add a security option to a speed optimization plugin
    – disable by default what is enabled by default by WordPress

Let’s see what the developer has to say.
