• Since upgrading both wordpress and Nextgen I am having problems with my gallery. Firstly I am seeing the html coding on the site i.e. [album id=”8″ template=”compact”]. Secondly I am not seeing all my galleries and thirdly when I click on a specific gallery they double up so I see two sets of photos.

  • I had a similar problem.
Try having a look at this fix for the gallery doubling up:
    https://code.google.com/p/nextgen-gallery/source/detail?r=558#
    It worked for me.

As for the html coding being visible, when you made the gallery page did you input the [album id=”8″ template=”compact”] text in Visual view or html view? Just click the html tab when you edit the page and then put [album id=”8″ template=”compact”] in.

    Good luck.

Thanks – I will take a look at the fix – looks complicated.

Re the html etc – It is in the html page. All my galleries were working completely fine until these last updates. suddenly is has all gone wrong. I have not changes anything myself, so very annoying.

    Thanks for your help

Did the fix and it worked a treat, no doubling up of albums anymore. Hubby did something with the coding too and now all my albums appear without code. Great thanks.

Thanks for the feedback, i will fix some other issues and release then a new version

I was having the same issues and the solution Alldous recommends works like a charm. It did take me a bit to figure out what the trunk folder meant (/trunk/nggfunctions.php) but it just means the plugin folder. Thanks for posting this.
