Exclude pages from Yoast sitemap

Google search console is telling me I have “Submitted URL seems to be a Soft 404” on my Woocommerce cart and checkout pages. If I mark the pages as “Noindex” I still get an error saying pages marked no index are still in the sitemap. I’ve already excluded these pages in the robots.txt. How do I prevent yoast sitemaps from including the cart and checkout page in its sitemap?
