• Hello,

The plugin used to work properly for us, but lately when something is bought on Woocommerce, it doesn’t update Square at all. Then every half an hour Square updates Woocommerce with its incorrect stock levels, which has caused a lot of trouble for a couple of days where people online were trying to buy things that aren’t actually in stock. I have Debug on , the log is only showing one sync a day, and not showing any issues:

I’m also finding now that updating prices or stock manually then saving doesn’t do anything anymore either.

Hey @faracademy, since this worked previously the problem is likely due to a change on your site.

This could be a code change (updating or adding new plugins/themes), or an environment change (something within your hosting blocking the information transfer). In this case it’s most likely a code change.

To start, you’ll want to run a conflict test with your theme and plugins. We have a guide on how to test for conflicts here:
    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-self-service-guide/#section-4

Since these tests will impact the look and functionality of your site, we recommend doing them on a staging site. If you don’t already have a staging site set up, check with your hosting company as many offer this as part of their packages. Otherwise, you can use a free plugin such as WP Staging to set one up.

For the test, you’ll want to change to the default Twenty Nineteen or Storefront theme, with no additional code added to them.

Next, disable ALL plugins, except for WooCommerce and Square.

Once that is done, try editing an item in WooCommerce. You can change the product price, inventory, and description. Once you save those changes, wait 2 minutes and then log into your Square account. Check to see if those changes carried over to Square.

If they did, you can then begine reactivating your third-party plugins and theme, one at a time. Continue to test while you do this, so that you can see what plugin/theme is causing the conflict. Once you find the cause, make sure it’s up to date and then reach out to it’s developer to let them know.

If the changed did not carry over to Square, there may be an issue with the cronjob not properly running, or an issue in your hosting environment. At that point please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Tickets? You may need to create an account. When opening the ticket, please make sure to select the proper plugin. We will be able to help you further there.

As I have not heard back from you, I’m going to assume that my information above helped.

I’ll be marking this thread as resolved now, however please feel free to create a new thread if you have additional problems.
