Unable to import WordPress xml file

  • Hello,

    I exported my data via the instructions in WordPress 2.7.2.1 to an xml file.
    Then I uploaded WordPress 2.8 and tried to import the saved exported file. I got the failure message below.

    Sorry, there has been an error.

    Missing a temporary folder.

    I removed the WordPress 2.8 files and reinstalled the saved wordpress 2.7.2.1 files and tried to import the saved exported file and got the same failure.

    Any suggestions how to get my file restored.
