    Hi, Good day ya’ll. Is it possible to reserve a certain product? Does woocommerce support reservations for a product or is there any available at least free plugin for this? A client wants an “out of stock” product to be labeled as “For Reservation” with a reservation form. They want that product for reservation for their marketing strategy. I really need help on this.     The core WooCommerce plugin itself does not include a “reservation” option.

    I’m not sure of a free plugin, but our Bookings plugin here would most-likely meet their needs:

    Does this plugin apply to food products? The shop focuses on selling coffee products, honey, etc.

    Can you provide a bit more information as to how this should work? When a product is “Reserved”, what should happen? Do they want the customer to pick a date and time for the reservation? Do they need to keep track of stock (ex: after 10 reservations for a specific date/time the product should note be able to be reserve on that specific date/time), etc? Would this only be tied products when they go “Out of Stock”? Or what conditions should apply? Thanks!

    They just want a simple reservation for a certain product that is currently unvailable or sold out this season, for example Sweet Corn. They want their buyers to reserve for the Sweet Corn for the next harvest. Maybe they just want to collect the basic info of the person and the quantity he/she wants to reserve for the corn.

    Thanks for that additional information!

    After the additional explanation, if you only want to add the “reserve” option to individual products, I’d recommend looking into a plugin that can allow you to turn the “Add to cart” button for individual products into a “quote request” button, or something similar (you can change the “quote request” phrasing to reflect “reserve product”, etc.).

    We do have this extension at WooCommerce.com that will allow users to “pre-order” a product and select the quantity they’d like, then be charged upfront on once the product becomes available:

    Hi Zach,

    I have the same question as Jed.

    Except we have the condition that you mentioned. If a product is sold out and we are getting 20 of this item back in stock on say date 7 July 2019 then after 20 reservations it should not take any more reservations for that date. This is only for products that are out of stock. For reservations we do not want to take money we just want to collect their details so we can send them an invoice or if this can be system generated to automatically send once this product comes back in stock?
