• Hi,

I just installed OceanWP on my site – growthresourcesonline.com – because your theme is SO feature-rich, especially in how you’ve integrated Customizer settings for Lifter LMS (which I use). I have ELementor Pro, Lifter, and a buddypress plugin called Youzer all installed on my site with OceanWP and everything seems to work fine except for one thing –

I want a unique custom header to show up on one of my default template pages.

I have watched two great videos that fully explain how to both create custom headers and then use Customizer to choose the default header template you want to show across site… as well as how to create unique custom headers per page using the OceanWP Settings choices (Header in particular) that show up at the bottom of each WP edit page.

This unique header per page option worked brilliantly on the video I watched – just like you would expect it to. But when I do the exact same thing on my site nothing happens. NOTHING HAPPENS, no matter what I try. Even if I get some combination to show something at the top – it shows on ALL those default template pages. Seems like these PER PAGE choices showing at the bottom of each page when you go to edit with WP should only affect that ONE page.

What may be causing this potentially beautiful option you’ve included in this theme to not work??

    Thank you,

    Susan

  • Hello Susan,

I just visited on your site and saw a different header for the courses page only. Can you please confirm it is resolved or I’m missing something?

    Hi,

I’m having the same trouble. I change to custom header on one page, and select the template of the header I want to apply on that specific page.
I do it, apply changes, and update, and nothing. I just see the default header.

I’ve made two custom headers: One in Spanish and one in English. But I only see the Spanish version.

    Is there a solution?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Try to update the PHP version if it is not PHP7.
Can you link to the page where you are trying to apply custom header using OceanWP settings metabox?

    I solved the issue:

First I went to Languages on the Dashboard > Settings > And then on the 4th option (types of custom posts and taxonomies) clicked on > Settings and checked “My templates” and “My Library”.

Finally went to Theme Panel > My Library

There I edited the custom headers and footers languages and worked.

I now have custom headers and footers on English and Spanish using OceanWP – Polylang and Elementor.
