Would it be possible to allow other signed in users to add reviews?

I don’t fully understand your question but…

Reviews are just regular WordPress posts with extra metadata fields added on. So if users can create posts, then they can also create reviews.

Ah, I mean add a review to an existing review.

So if one person creates a Book review, then others can add onto that same Book review.

As a book review exists as a single entity, you’d have to enable the “Reader Comment Rating” feature under the “Extras” tab in settings. That will enable star ratings on your comment form, that site users can use to leave their review of a book.

Hmmm… I have enabled that setting, but it only shows the ability to leave a comment.

And the comment doesn’t have any star ratings there.

Oh and then when I try to make a comment, it comes back and says:

Sorry, comments are closed for this item.

I have no idea why

I had look at a comment on your site and saw a comment with rating stars enabled. So, the feature is there and working.

That comment was made from inside the admin interface. And inside the admin interface, there is no option to create stars. So whatever that star rating is, I didn’t enter it.

From the user side, there are no stars showing.

Can you briefly open up your comments to non-logged in users so that I can see the code for the comment form? Also, please remind of the URL for you site.

I discovered that it was Jetpack (and its comments module) that was interfering so much with the comments section…

So it now does seem to be working as expected.

There are formatting problems, but that’s probably theme related.
