    For some reason the feed is adding tax to my feed prices. It just started and I have no idea what was changed. I have changed the matting to every price option in the list and even created a new Product feed with defaults and its adding tax to the price. This is causing my Feeds on Google to display price with tax. Not what I want.. Suggestions on where to look ?

    Thanks

  • Hi David,

    Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. We gave tried replicating the issue at hand but all seems to be working fine at our end.

    We have added some custom labels to one of our test feeds and mapped those to the different price attributes:

    Which results to this in our product feed:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/1jzmy2in5fymuyx/prices2.png?dl=0

    Hence, all seems to be working.

    How are you inserting product prices in the back-end and how are you displaying them on the front-end of your website? (incl/excl VAT?).

    Best,
    Eva

    This is most likely happening because you:

    1. Insert prices including VAT;
    2. Show prices on your website excluding VAT;

    The plugin needs to know what the VAT percentage is so it can calculate what the prices are excluding VAT. It does so based on the country TAX settings but the plugin would need to know the country for that which it does not. Especially when you have different taxes configured for different countries the plugin would not know which one to use for its calculation.

    You can solve this by adding a wildcard TAX country with a VAT settings. Like this:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/r3ughy547ddn9gs/VAT.png?dl=0

    The plugin will use the wildcard tax rate to calculate what the price excl. VAT should be.

    Hope this makes sense?

    I have a State Tax only set up for just the state of Texas( 6.75%). Woocommerce is set to display the Price with no tax added. It show correctly on the front end and only applies the tax when the customer is within the state of Texas. For the mapping i have told it to use the “Price” field. I have tried all four other options and it always adds the tax to the price on the feed.

    Hi David,

    Have you tried the wildcard solution to this issue as I described in my last reply? That should solve the issue at hand.

    I found a value just now in the drop down labeled ” Product-1660-price (Custom attribute) ” and it seems to work fine. So I guess I can close this. Thanks

    Not sure if we have done anything to fix it but you are welcome ??

    All the best,
    Eva
