• Age Gate was working fine for me, but starting from yesterday it has not been redirecting someone that passes the age gate to the homepage. I have a caching solution, so I even tried opting for the Javascript uncacheable version, but it still happens. Does anybody know what the fix here is?

  • Same troubles here, anxiously awaiting an answer as we have a launch date looming (and need this to be legal).

I’ve tried both plain and JS options, both with and without a redirect link, and using the Yes/No option answers of both “yes” and “no” are simply reloading the page. Of course, we’ve also tried clearing cache/cookies and using several different browsers/computers.

If it helps, hovering over either button reveals the link <our-url>/wp-admin/admin-post.php

Scratch that, the JS option is working now for us. We’re not cached with anything I can see in WordPress or on the server, but perhaps our host has something going on at the cloud level that caused a delay. After cloning the site over to a completely different host it was obvious.

@sidneyquitorio8 have you tried leaving it enabled with the JS option, and returning back to it after a couple hours?

    Hi @chazz-layne and @sidneyquitorio8,

@chazz-layne, glad you found a solution. A lot of WordPress specific hosts do caching for you which can be a bit annoying to debug!

@sidneyquitorio8, have you installed any other plugins recently? Anything that blocks access to front end ajax posts or admin post requests can cause issues with age gate. If you allow REST access you could change the setting for that in the advanced settings. If you have a URL it’s be good for me to see. There’s also an export option in v2.2.2 which you can enable and export the settings if you want me to have a look at them.

    Thanks
    Phil
