Is it bad to change the XSL for my sitemap?
-
I am using the “Google Sitemaps” 3.1.2 plugin and it is working pretty good. I like it. However I was thinking I would work with the XSL file to make it easier for users to read and more organized. My question is: If I do that, will that affect the way Google and other search sites look at this information?
Right now it is showing a “percentage” column along with the links and I am wondering if I need to leave that on the page when people open it or not. Does Google somehow just read the XML, or does it read the whole source from the finished page. Does anyone know if changing the XSL and creating a better look for the sitemap affects anything with the search engines?
