• Hi,

We experience some errors when creating DHL labels in bulk:
    1. Step: Creation of Shipping Documents
    2. Step: DHL Create Label
-> A new window opens up but it stays as a blank page. When you go back to the order overview you can download the label but only one label is available in the download even if we tick e.g. 5 DHL orders.

Can you help us with this?

The issue is not clear, can you download one bulk label with all of the labels within it? At what point do you get a blank page exactly?

    Hi Shadi,

These are the steps we take:
    – We select the orders
    – We click on ‘Generate all shipping documents’ and click apply
    – Nothing happens
    – We click on ‘DHL create labels’ and click apply
    – A white screen appears
    – There is no option to select and download multiple labels at once.
    – We have to open each order and download the label from there.

    What can we do?

I do not believe the bulk action “Generate all shipping documents” is related to the DHL plugin. If you go to “DHL create labels” and click apply directly, does that not work either?

    Hi There,

is it possible to transfer the customer email Adress in Bulk creation automatically?

    Thank you!

The billing email is sent to DHL from the order when using bulk creation, is that the question?

    Hi Shadi,

You are right. We use the ‘generate all shipping documents’ to create the invoice, Proforma Invoice (if DHL is used for shipping) and CN22 Label. This is created in our own code.

I was testing bulk DHL label creation without prior generation of all shipping documents and I got an error – if I remember correctly it was Error 500.

    Does this help?

    Josianne,

Can you test the bulk action with the new plugin version and new orders, as the new version should include the custom forms. If you still receive 500 errors please email “dhlsupport [at] progressusmarketing.com” and add the DHL log. You can find the log file under “WooCommerce->Status->Logs” select the log file that starts with “DHL” – https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/3806443/b80984da29d820059129d3afdc09d616.

    Best,
    Shadi.

    Hi Shadi,

After the update everything seems to work (bulk creation and customs forms). However, we experience a bug on a few orders:
    – When we selected 2 DHL orders and did a bulk DHL creation, we got an error message “address 2 is empty”. When we manually copied house number to the Address line 2, it was possible to create a label. This is a very annoying way to work though. Can you help us with this?
    – On a different order it is still not possible to create a label. It′s saying – Bitte geben sie die Art der Sendung an. So I guess it has something to do with DDU condition and the delivery address – Gran Canaria/Spain? We have filled in the country of origin and tariff code on the products in that order.

    – Are you certain that if you tried to create the label for those 2 orders individually you did NOT receive the message, it only happens when doing it via bulk action?
    – I am not sure what this relates to, it might be the DHL Product you are trying to use.

    Hi Shadi,

    – About the first problem – At the beginning I tried it via bulk, and then I went inside to the order and generate it from there. Both ways showed the same error.
    – About the second one. What do you mean with DHL product exactly? We use DHL Paket. Also: when we go inside the order to create a label, it doesn’t show the delivery duties option. For other orders it does show that option, so that is a bit strange.

    – Is there a number within the address, as that is the only reason I can think of to get that message? If not, can you send me the format of the address?
    – That is because Spain is within the EU so no duties would be paid if sent from Germany

    (@josianne)

    Hi Shadi,

    – Yes, there is a number within the address, it is written as: ‘street no25’, instead of ‘street 25’
    – That’s what we thought as well. But does that mean it is not possible to create a DHL label through Woocommerce when the order comes from the EU?

    Thread Starter josianne

    (@josianne)

    Hi Shadi,

We tested it again this morning, and what happened was this:
    1. We generated our own invoices
    2. We used the bulk action to create labels (DHL Create Labels) and clicked ‘apply’
    3. We see a white screen. No error message, just a white screen.
    4. When we go back to the order overview page, we see all the orders and it looks like labels are created.
    5. We have to go inside each order now to print the labels.

    So two issues here:
    – That white screen appears, without any error message.
    – Even though it seems that labels are created now via bulk action, we can not download them in bulk.

I would need access to your WP Admin to review this issue, please contact me at “dhlsupport [at] progressusmarketing.com”.

    Hi Shadi,

I had our developers look at the issue, and they don’t register any errors happening when we take these steps.

    Questions:
    – Is it even possible to download labels in bulk? Or just creating them in bulk?
    – After clicking on ‘DHL create labels’, we expect to receive some sort of PDF file with all the labels we wanted to create. That doesn’t happen. Is this the goal of that functionality though? Should a file be created with the labels in it?

Even though we can create labels in bulk, it is still very time consuming if we have download them via each separate order.

I’d rather not give anyone access to our shop, but I can send you an email with a video that explains what is happening exactly.
