Just activated this pugin and tried to add WP User Frontend to Custom Post Types in the plugin’s settingss page but not sure why it’s not working.

WP User Frontend uses frontend post submisssion forms to allow users to submit posts from frontend. When I used the form to submit posts with embedded youtube video in the post, the youtube thumbnail did not appear in the category archive neither on the single post page, only the default image I selected (from my media library) for posts without a featured image show up on both category archive and single post pages.

The custom post type name I used when adding to setting were
    WP User Frontend
    WP User Frontend post forms
    WP User Frontend post form
    WP User Frontend post
    WP User Frontend forms
    WP User Frontend form

    Thank you.

    Hi, @newance.

For now FIFU allows to set automatically the first IMAGE as featured image, but not the thumbnail of an embedded video.

Anyway, I like that! I think that’s a very good suggestion. It seems simple and may help other users, right?

I’m working on other demands now, but I will add your suggestion for voting.

By the way, please give me some examples of embedded videos (the HTML code) that your users make use.

    Hi Marcel,

Sorry I missed your reply. My users just use Youtube video URL (the one in the address bar), like

I hope that answered your question.
Yes, please add it for voting.

By the way, since this plugin doesn’t work for me, i’m wondering when it does work, will the featured image be savd in the media library/server? I hope it won’t that way it keeps the site and server light, and that can also be applied to the embedded video use case described above.

    Thank you.

“Auto Set First Video” feature was added.
