I updated to woocommerce 3.5.2 a short while ago. I have the Woocommerce Stripe Gateway plugin installed and it was working fine until the last Woocommerce update.

Since then Stripe has switched back to test mode. All settings still show that Stripe is live until a payment is made and then it declines the card saying that Stripe is in test mode.

I have contacted Stripe who say that the Stripe API keys in Woocommerce are set to test mode and this is the problem. However, when I copy and paste the ‘live mode’ API keys and save, Woocommerce does not save the ‘live’ keys but reverts back to the ‘test mode’ keys.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    With thanks

    Hi @faydesigns,

This kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:
    ?

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

Thank you Amada for your help.

Stripe was working originally and nothing on my site had changed apart from a woocommerce update.

I did as you suggested but still not working.

Easiest fix us to disable stripe plug in. ??

Thank you again for your assistance
    With regards, Geraldine

    Hi @faydesigns,

Could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here.

Hopefully that report will give us some hints at what could be going on here.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
